This multi-million dollar estate inspired by French and Spanish Mediterranean architecture was built in 1934 and purchased by Academy Award winning actor, Charles Laughton. In the late 1940s, Charles began teaching acting classes in the downstairs theater, with Shelley Winters and Marilyn Monroe among the regular attendees.
Filled with Hollywood history, this home holds a special place along the LA coastline, and has been cherished and cared for through generations past.
In a recent remodel, current owners updated the estate’s main bathroom to take it from outdated to updated, opting for white-on-white finishes to really ramp up the luxury. See a before and after of the bathroom remodel below.
