TYRRELL & LAING INTERNATIONAL INC
USA made stone freestanding bathtubs and basins
T & L Bathtubs can be found in prestigious hotels and resorts including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt, Hilton and Seminole Hard Rock Hotels. Their tubs have also been installed in luxury private residences around the world.
Glyn Laing, founder and CEO of Tyrrell and Laing International Inc, studied fashion design, undertaking a City & Guilds qualification. After college, she created her own clothing line, which was sold in her boutiques. She also made uniforms for the Mpumalanga Parks Board in South Africa.
In 2000 she emigrated with her family from South Africa to USA. Having grown up in a country where homes typically did not have showers, they were accustomed to comfortable bathtubs. Having found the shower and bathtub combinations in USA very uncomfortable for bathing, Glyn and her daughter, Jenna, were inspired to design bathtubs to fit the body, offering a comfortable and relaxing bathing experience.
Keen to support their new country, they decided that having the tubs made in USA was very important. They also work closely with international interior design consultants and renowned architects to ensure compliance with their specifications. In terms of material for their tubs, T & L carefully chose the most suitable and highest quality composite stone, a crushed stone filler with a polyester resin behind a gel coat surface, all sourced in USA.
This high-tech composite material has the appearance and beauty of natural stone, without the excessive weight. The factory has been servicing the Atlanta area for more than 25 years. Tyrrell and Laing bathtubs comply with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), International Plumbing Code (IAPMO and the National Plumbing code of Canada (NPC). The products have been certified by IAPMO Research and Testing.
Unlike most freestanding tubs on the market, our tubs do not contain any aluminum trihydrate, (which is of concern to many people).
